Raw chocolate covered caramels
For all the sweet tooths out there, this is a deliciously healthy sweet treat.
Serves 5
Ingredients
- 5 medjool dates, pitted and soaked in water
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Pinch sea salt
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- ½ cup virgin coconut oil
Method
- In a food processer, blend the dates, vanilla, sea salt and maple until smooth. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for a few hours.
- Remove from the fridge and roll into 1-2 tbsp worth of mixture at a time into balls.
- Melt the coconut oil and mix through the cacao powder.
- Dip each date ball into the cacao mixture to coat, and transfer to a plate.
- Place in the freezer to set the chocolate and enjoy.
