Homemade pesto
The perfect addition to your salad, eggs, chicken and veggie sticks.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil
- 2 cups baby spinach
- ¼ cup pine nuts
- ¼ cup macadamias
- 4 garlic gloves
- ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
- The juice of 1 lemon
- Optional: 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
Method
- Add all ingredients (except the oil) into a food processor or blender. Gradually add the oil and process until a smooth consistency is achieved.
- Store in a glass jar in the fridge and use within 1 week.
