Chicken bone broth
Serves 3 or more
Ingredients
- 2 organic chicken carcasses
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion
- 3 stalks of celery
- 2 carrots
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp whole peppercorns
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1 cup of fresh herbs
- 1 tsp kelp flakes
Method
- Roughly chop the vegetables, leaving the peel on.
- Add all the ingredients to a slow cooker and cover with water.
- Cook on low heat for 24 hours.
- Strain the broth to capture the liquid and discard the remaining bones/ vegetables.
- Portion up and store in the freezer.
