5-ingredient protein pancakes

Made using only 5 ingredients, these pancakes are healthy and easy to make, providing a good dose of quality protein, complex carbohydrates, dietary fibre and B vitamins to give you the energy you need to kickstart your day and metabolism, promote a positive mood and aid digestion.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp traditional oats
  • 1 large free-range or organic egg
  • 1 tbsp pecans, chopped
  • 2 scoops of Synd-X protein powder

Method

  1. Mash banana with a fork until smooth. Add egg, pecans, Synd-X protein powder and oats, mixing well to form a batter.
  2. Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Pour batter to make 3 pancakes, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Flip and cook for a further 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden.
  4. Serve with a drizzle of honey, fresh fruit or full-fat Greek yoghurt if desired.
